Persian rugs differ in design, size and shape. The way they are made also differs which gives way to the two kinds of Persian rugs.

1. Knotted Persian rugs are made from knotting by tying the small fibers into a backing. Hooks are also used in making this kind. The quality of a knotted rug is based on the knot-count per square inch of the rug. It may be a demanding process but the more fibers there are in a square inch, the more lavish the outcome is.

2. Woven Persian rugs are made through a weaving loom to attach the threads together. In weaving, long threads are needed to produce the right quality.

Christmas is the time for family gathering - what’s better than everyone in the family sharing joy and fun together in such wonderful holiday mood?

However, what most people have not known is the fact that there are some essential guidelines when it comes to decorations for christmas of the house, from the point of view of feng shui.

Starting from the interior of the house, the first thing we can think of is a Christmas tree. And it goes without saying that a Christmas tree is to be enhanced with loads of gifts and all sorts of odds and ends - to make it look like a Christmas tree, so to speak.

Now when we look at this well-equipped Christmas tree in terms of the “5 elements” according to the Chinese Feng Shui philosophy, it will be classified as a combination of the “wood and fire” element because by itself a tree is “wood,” and with so much enhancement making it look so glamorous, it is further turned into a “fire” as dictated by the I-Ching interpretation.

Then it is very easy to come to the conclusion that one is not to put the Christmas tree in the NW direction because the “Monthly Flying Star Table” of December of 2006 dictates that the “#5 Star of Yellow Earth” is right over there at NW and if this element is stirred up or ignited by so much Wood and Fire, much disharmony will be manifested.

This also applies to other christmas decorations in the West and NW direction of the house, be they inside or out. For example, red and flashing lights are to be kept away from these 2 directions as they are where the monthly and yearly “#5 Stars of Yellow Earth” lie.

This is the most basic and yet secretly guarded strategy in authentic Feng Shui application. Anything that has to do with this “#5 Star of Yellow Earth” is to be maintained in a very static and low profile manner. Or disharmony of any nature will result.

Another area of concern is the fireplace. It’s easy to understand that a fireplace is of the “Fire” element, and that if it were located in the direction of the West and NW, then it’d be better not to light it up during the holiday season in 2006.

It’s understood that it’d be too awkward to not light up the fireplace when it’s freezing cold just because some Feng Shui tips say so. To be on the safe side, locate some white earthen objects around the fireplace when it’s lit such that the “Fire” element will be generating the positive white “Earth” earthen objects, rather than the negative “#5 Star Of Yellow Earth” in that direction.

The most auspicious star happens to fall upon the South direction in December of 2006; therefore - whether it be the Christmas tree or fireplace - it’d be good to light them up if they’re along the South direction of the house.

These basic and yet important principles apply to the interior and exterior of the house. For example, if there were a big Christmas tree outside of the house in the South direction, then it’d be to your best interest to really light it up with everything imaginable to make it look absolutely glamorous. Doing so will enhance the harmonious energy of the environment.

Have fun and enjoy the Christmas holiday season with a twist using a bit of Feng Shui decorations for christmas tips!

Merry Christmas to you and all yours!

cement mixers, Structural Oak and any items of benfit pinching) and supply the workmen with an area to go for food breaks or if it starts to pour down. Most of

the containers arrive on the rear of some big MAC vehicles are either craned off or the MAC lorry has its own lifting equipment.

The big MAC containers are so adaptable as not only are

the containers secure they can give a big variety of fittings including, On Site

Accommodation, secure storage, secure workshops, extra classrooms, COSHH storage facilities, Smoking shelters and Mobile homes.

When you go looking for them you can find these containers for sale from reputable firms they

provide you a great deal of give when you are considering new builds

or more to the point self builds. My plan is to purchase a MAC container that has been built

specifically for my needs shower and toilet, kitchen, bedroom and storage area with heating, lighting, power supply, External Lighting and

steel shuttered security windows.

This will let me have on site accommodation when I begin my new build, that can be lifted in for the

time of the construction and that I can then sell when it finishes. The thing about Container buildings is that they do the job, that is why they are used so often.

Strong assertion but if you have ever been part of in the building trade you will know that if a product doesn’t work it wont get used. Every building

area often has one or more MAC container on it due to their dependability,

safety and simplicity of use.

Although carpet and hardwood are great options in many areas of the home, they are sometimes unsuited. Spaces like the kitchen, or garage, frequently demand a higher degree of toughness and resilience. Carpet absorbs stains and moisture too easily, leading to a dirty looking surface that may also attract odors. Hardwood offers a tougher surface than carpet, but it also falls prey to moisture. A damp hardwood gradually warps and cracks. After several seasons of expansion and contraction, moisture damage can really degrade the appearance of a hardwood floor.

Places in which spills and accidents are frequent can cause scratching or gouging in the flooring as well. Hardwood laminate flooring is a great answer to all these problems and more. With a laminate floor, designers can have the aesthetic allure of hardwood, while dodging many of the usual problems. Laminate flooring is largely impervious to moisture issues and will not absorb water. Stains are not an issue, and as long as they are cleaned up promptly, will cause no lasting damage at all.
Best of all, laminate flooring is very affordable, and can be found in a wide selection of shades, colors, and styles.

How to Install Laminate Flooring
Installation of laminate flooring is also relatively simple. When first purchasing a set of laminate flooring tiles, check each to ensure that each tile is intact. Once certain that the entire package is intact, give the tiles a few days to acclimate to their new climate. There may be some contraction or expansion that occurs when the laminate flooring tiles arrive in a new setting.

Make certain to follow all manufacturer instructions that are included with the tile packaging. Specific instructions on how to glue the tiles are very important, and can affect the overall aesthetic quality and durability of the end product. It is also important to ensure that the tiles are placed with a quarter of an inch space between the wall and the flooring. Although a great deal of tools isn’t required for in home installation, you may have to cut the tiles to fit around corners, fireplaces, stairs, etc. A wet tile saw would definitely be adequate to cut laminate flooring.

Having a level surface for laying down tiles is also important. Be certain to fill any holes in the subflooring, or sand away any protruding areas that might stick up afterward.

The search for home furniture and specific chairs for particular needs will land many more options than most can possibly evaluate. Even when the investigation is narrowed to computer-related furniture, selections abound.

If you’re buying office furniture, computer chair choices may have you somewhat confused. Today, there are saddle seats, ergo-balls, standing stools and other choices that waver from the standard chair.

So, to help you make your computer chair choice, keep reading for a helpful overview of the new and unique seat choices available on the market today.

Sitting on an Exercise Ball

The basic principle behind an exercise ball chair is that it forces you to maintain good posture, therefore alleviating stress on your back, shoulder and arm muscles. Also, because you’re holding proper posture and engaging your core muscles to stay erect, you actually also benefit from an all-day abdominal workout.

That said, spending hours and hours on an exercise ball chair can cause pain in the upper legs for some individuals and isn’t recommended for those with tailbone or lower back pain. The lack of support can prevent a tailbone injury from properly healing.

To make sure you’re getting the best use out of your exercise ball chair, ensure that it is the proper size. Typically these balls come in four sizes - 45 cm, 55 cm, 65 cm and 75 cm. Ideally, when you sit on the ball, your thighs should slope slightly downwards and your hands should be able to comfortably reach the keyboard.

Kneeling Chair

The idea behind a kneeling chair is that your spine is kept erect when you sit in it as the person is forced into an upright kneeling or praying position. Slouching is possible, but often difficult, particularly if the chair is properly adjusted to your dimensions.

Unfortunately, kneeling chairs can actually be quite hard on your knees, especially if you’re using one for hours on end, day after day. Fans of the chair suggest looking for a model with additional knee padding or investing in a Tempurpedic pad designed for the knee.

Saddle Seating Position

When it comes to office furniture, computer chair companies always want to sell you on overpriced, ergonomic wonders that come complete with hundreds of adjustable levers and mechanisms. But, sometimes simple is better.

That’s where the backless saddle seat comes in - it’s simple, but basically engages the user to sit in a comfortable position that causes almost no strain on the back.

However, there is one major drawback to the saddle seat - it’s a seating position that almost needs to be learned. If done properly, it’s an innovative piece of office furniture - computer chair haters will soon be converts. But, the seating arrangement takes some getting used to, and not everyone is instantly sold. It’s definitely a chair you should try out in the store before you buy.

Keeping items orderly in the kitchen does not just offer homeowners the opportunity to maximize their spaces but also encourage safety and protection at all times. There are several ways that could be made to keep disorder at a minimum, if not reduced.

One of the biggest problems combating every day challenges in even the most expensive designer kitchens is that there is not enough space to maximize work in the area. Surveys show that compared to the other areas in a home, the kitchen tends to become so untidy and disorganized especially if the homeowner does not know how to free or maximize some space in the area. Most homeowners may not be aware of this but they may be using spaces not really intended for its purpose or keeping things in disarray with lack of knowledge on how to put away things in their proper places.

So, if you are one of the many homeowners who are troubled with the way their kitchen looks like, read on and learn how to keep your kitchen clutter-free.

1. Discard unused items

Economy wise, most housewives tend to keep things in the kitchen hoping to find them valuable in the long run or in future use. However, this strategy eats up most spaces in the kitchen, keeping them un-utilized.
The rule of thumb is that if a certain item remains useless for a month or so then it will not probably be useful in the next few months.

2. Spot the problem

Take a closer look in your kitchen and spot the problem. Where does the mess build up? Is it in the sink, around the corner or inside the cabinet? Knowing where to start cleaning up and organizing things will make the activity easier for you.
It is best to start on your kitchen countertop. If you have too many appliances here such as microwave, waffle maker, or bread toaster then it would be better if you keep those machines in the cabinet until you are ready to use them again.

3. Classify things

Classifying things and putting similar items together will help you achieve an organized kitchen. Canned goods should be classified according to their use. This rule applies to kitchen utensils, appliances and everything there is in the kitchen. The point here is that when things are classified according to their use, their kind, or other features then it will be easier for you to find the item you need.

4. Maximize storage spaces

Take full advantage of the storage spaces. If you need to create divisions in order to maximize the gap between things then do so. For example, in the vegetable area inside the refrigerator, to avoid mess and to see vegetable carefully lined within the drawer, it is best if you place divisions. Separate leafy veggies from the sturdy ones.
In the cabinets, it is best if you keep the canned goods on one corner and soup packets and other packages on the other.

5. Use stacking containers

For items that needs longer storage such as leftover noodles or pasta, flour or other powdered ingredients, chopped items like veggies or grated cheese, it is best to put them in stacking containers. This way, it will be easier for you to classify them and load them inside the cabinet or the refrigerator. It also projects a cleaner look.

6. Tuck away electrical lines

For safety reasons as well as cleaner look, keep those electrical lines of appliances away from the sight. Customize your kitchen countertops in such a way that you can hide those cables. Getting things all tangled up will only cause trouble and even accidents.

7. Soften the area

Kitchens can become too compact or may cause what commercial buildings call “sick building syndrome” if your kitchen design does not include sufficient ventilation in the area. To soften the environment, you can place small plants on your kitchen countertop. Create bigger windows in the kitchen to allow as much natural light as possible. It is best to use fabric accents as well to reduce the rigid designs usually projected in a kitchen.

High quality luxury kitchens are great, but #the idea of keeping things organized and well designed in the kitchen is not just a matter of artwork and hard work. It is, in fact, one way of showing how much you love your family by maintaining a place where you prepare your food for them safe and organized at all times.

Carpeting is one of the most common flooring materials we see in homes today. I myself am a big carpet fan. I think it makes a room more sophisticated and cozy. Wool carpeting for one, which is my choice, gives off a plush look. Carpets don’t work though for many due to reasons such as high traffic, dirt, high-maintenance, and even the choice of color.

Nothing beats high-quality carpeting with a really good pad. It’s more durable and can survive wear and tear. Stain-guard your carpet to avoid dirt and discoloration. Vacuum often, daily if possible, to safeguard the look and texture of your carpet. Finally, it’s better to have a professional install your carpet to avoid loose spots, which can be a problem in time.

For all sportmen out there, there’s a room with deer home decor just waiting to be discovered in their home. Starting out, it might feel overwhelming to put together a complete room around furnishings with a deer motif. But once you start looking and planning, you will find numerous deer home decor items on the market today.

The best place to start is to buy some wallpaper or at the very least, wallpaper border, with a deer focus. You’ll want to hang this on a minimum of one wall in your deer themed room to set the mood for the rest of the decor you’ll be adding. Even if you can’t find deer wall paper, there most certainly is wallpaper with the forest and trees that will grant your room a woodsy feel. Another consideration might be a full sized poster-like mural of deer in the woods, which when filling a whole wall, can make a room look as if like it’s a part of the woods.

Browse the web for deer decor ideas and you’ll come up with end tables and coffee tables featuring deer legs (some real, some faux), glass top tables etched with beautiful deer art, or tables with hand crafted deer accents. Perhaps a chandelier created with deer antlers is your choice. Positively unique, this type of lighting would be memorable at the very least and something not everyone would have. If you have access to the antlers, get enough of them to be able to wire them together in a circle. String some small Christmas-type lights on them and go to your local home improvement store and ask how to wire them directly into the ceiling.

Once you have the larger pieces of deer decor established in your room, you can begin to place some complimentary decorations. Without much trouble, you should be able to discover decorating items to fill those vancant areas on tables and walls. How about an oil paintings of a forest scene featuring deer, a etched mirror coat rack with a forest scene of deer in the tall grass or perhaps a wall clock featuring a deer picture. Drape a deer throw over the back of your couch or love seat for a useful as well as showy addition to the room. And the old standard, there’s always the old standby, of course: a real mounted deer head.

For those shelves and table tops that are pleading to be decorated, why not take a shot at carving a small deer sculpture with a carving knife. If this is beyond your scope of expertise, a drive to your local craft fair should bring you many choices for an artistic carved figure of a deer and all different wildlife. Resin figures are obtainable at most home furnishing stores in various shapes and sizes to fit into most any spot where a decor item is needed. Buy some green plants and give the resin deer a home in the planter. With this, you’ll not only increase the number of deer in your room, but the green plants will add to the natural look as well.
Searching on the Internet and visiting department stores or mail order catalogs should generate a variety of deer decor and deer mirror from which to select.

Once finished, put out your deer welcome mat and let friends know immediately that they’re entering a whole new world where the deer is king.

A messy house makes for a cluttered mind. If photos covering the table is what bothers you, the best answer is to buy cheap picture frames so you could merely hang them on your wall while at the same time adding an extra amazing look to your house.

As you scan these highly arranged photo frames hung on the walls, you will sense that the past is trying to embrace your present. Those joyful memories shared with your loved ones, the cheering you felt when you won the inter-school math competition, the giggly feeling when your husband proposed for marriage, the smile of your newborn. You can experience all of these emotions everyday merely by seeing those picture frames on your wall.

There are also those poster frames which are available in assorted colors, shapes, and designs. They are the best option if you want to showcase your past while they also make a wonderful gift for any special occasion.

And since people became more chic these days, boring plain diploma frames are now out of style! They are now available in various designs to match any decor, so no matter what your motif in your house is; you are bound to get a fitting picture frame for them.

When choosing, see to it that it will go with both your taste and your pocket. If you like to put one on a nursery room, go for a red-colored frame or those with light and happy colors. Red frames are also suitable as presents for birthdays.

For the budget conscious, those kinds made with huge matting that surround a smaller photo is the most suitable choice since they normally come fairly inexpensive. This extra space can be customized by signing names as well as dedications. These types are best for debuts, proms, etc. There are also landscape, poster frames, and portrait frames that are all sold in budget-friendly prices.

If you are artistic enough, you can create your own picture frame. Browse the web for the step-by-step guidance on how to make one. You can further customize the look by painting colors or embroidering multicolored designs on the frame itself. Add ribbons, letters forming your name, or glitters all around! Use a trusted glue gun to attach these items to your frame. A little dose of patience is all it takes; after all, you will be proud of yourself for making a customized photo frame that exudes your aura.
